New Faces, New Ideas!
There have been numerous changes in the Destiny East Clubhouse over the last few months! Lisa Buchman took over as the Club Manager in February 2009 and brought a new team of enthusiastic attendants on board!
Christie Gibson has lived in the Destin area for five years. Many of you may recognize her from the halls of Destin Elementary where she was a substitute teacher! She has two beautiful children, Bailey and Garrett. In her free time she is a Girl Scout Leader and active in her church!
Hannah Tuttle is a 2009 graduate from Niceville High School! She has brought her perky smile and positive attitude to her position and she is looking forward to getting to know everyone in the community!
Micah Garman recently joined our team and he has brought some extra talent to the attendant position! Micah will be strumming his guitar for the Homeowners Happy Hours in addition to his club duties! He was married this past March to his beautiful bride Anna!
Please be sure to introduce yourself to all the members of the Clubhouse Team! We are here to help!

Golf Cart Rules Strictly Enforced!
As many of you know the Golf Cart Policy for the City of Destin has changed dramatically over the last two years. Golf carts can only leave the neighborhood if there are street legal and licensed. In addition, they may not be operated on any sidewalks or grass areas OR parked improperly at the Crab Trap. A number of Destiny East Guests have received both warnings AND tickets. One gentleman was threated with impounding the vehicle. Be aware that it appears the City of Destin is serious about enforcing this new policy.
Due to a large number of complaints we have received about underage driving, security along with clubhouse management will be issuing tickets to anyone violating the licensed driver policy. This is for the protection of our children and residents. The fine is $100 and will be enforced without exception. No one under the age of 16 with a license is permitted to drive a golf cart in our community.
We have informed all of the rental agencies of these polices several times. It is up to those owners who rent their properties privately to keep their guests informed. We want to have a safe and happy summer! |
